Making Money With A Blog: The Possibilities Are Endless

These days it seems as if everyone has a blog. There are various reasons why someone may write a blog. It could be a personal blog that someone uses as a diary, or just a place to vent frustrations, it could be used for business, could be used for promoting a website, or product, could be just to help others, or even to make money. It may be difficult for some of us to believe, but there really are some legitimate ways to generate money from a blog, or even a few blogs if you have the proper writing skills.

When starting a blog, the first thing you will want to do is find your niche. Find something that you are knowledgeable and/or interested in. It can be just about anything. It can be on parenting, recipes, business tips, working from home, a craft, or hobby that you enjoy; you can make a blog about anything. Once you have found your niche, you work on that. You work on promoting your website, and optimizing your keywords so that your blog will be easily found on search engines. There are many blog promoting websites and social networks that you can join. You do everything you can to promote your blog and use any and all keywords having to do with your blog that you think an average Joe may search for. 

Once you start promoting your blog and getting the word out there, there are a few different ways that you can earn money with your blog:

• Ad revenue. There are places like google adsense, or adbrite that will pay you for clicks they receive from your website. They do this by placing keyword related advertisements on your blog, and every time someone clicks on an ad from your blog, you get paid. 
• Affiliate earnings. You can promote products from places such as amazon, ebay, cafe press and numerous others on your blog. If someone buys one of their products from the link on your blog, you get a percentage of the sales. 
• Paid to post. Paid to posts are just that: you get paid to post on your blog. There are many places that will pay you to post a blog regarding a certain product, or website. Some times you just have to mention the product in your post, while other times you are able to give your opinion on the product. Post it on your blog and you will get paid.
• Paid Bloggers. If you possess great writing skills there are also many places that will pay you to blog FOR them. They will give you the subject to write about, you write about it and they use it on their blog and pay you for it. This money is not made directly from your blog, however your blog is a great way to showcase some of your writing skills and knowledge.

Keep in mind, that you will not make money over night with your blog. Be patient and work on blog promotion, and using keywords to generate more traffic to your blog. If you do these things the right way, you will see the money coming in eventually.
